BMAN111 Purposes of a business plan

A business plan is defining your steps and goals you want to reach and how you want to reach them. By thinking creatively and receiving different ideas from your team. Its your visions and means of operation. And explaining the objects to your employees, partners and investors.

It is difficult for an entrepreneur to be realistic because you have to think of all the possible challenges that can occur and be prepared for those challenges. Writing a business plan would help you know which steps to follow, example first you need capital and then you need to employ people. But you cannot employ people just yet, you have to know which people you want to employ e.g semi skilled or skilled workers. Business plan is also helpful to achieve long and short term goals.

-As business men and women it is hard to be realistic as we always have to be positive and hope high success for the ideas that we may have and also dream big to one day seeing the ideas becoming a success

-Therefore writing a business plan can help in giving one clear visions on how the business might be in future and will therefore be a motivation to not give up.

It can be that the entrepreneur is so passionate about his idea that he can’t think about the realistic aspects. It is important that a plan is set up so that they can stay on track and that everything happens on time. A proper business plan also shows that the entrepreneur has done proper research.

Some entrepreneurs have ideas which bare a lot of hope which sometimes could be hard to achieve. Some of these ideas could do well in another time but not this current time, which is why the ideas have to be some what realistic if they wish to be successful.

Having a business plan can be useful as it puts your plans in a more realistic view and such a plan can help entrepreneurs take certain steps into the right direction which is success.

To be a entrepreneur you should have the necessary skills to interact with your co leaders and staff as well as your clients. With the mastering of these aspects you can confront problems and take on challenges .

I think it can be difficult for a entrepreneur because when opening a business you need clients so that your business can grow and the more clients you have the bigger your business will stand out. So a entrepreneur needs to think realistic and know that it’s going to be hard to get these clients at the beginning.
A business plan would be a great way to start because it would be much easier for the entrepreneur to know where to start his/her business. A business plan can help the entrepreneur to keep a clear head and keep him focus on his goal.

As entrepreneurs we mostly believe in our dreams and that we would like to achieve them not necessarily thinking that might be unrealistic. A proper research must be done and thought through this will lead to a realistic picture.
It will help by making the entrepreneur have a clear vision of what the original plan is about.

The reason why entrepreneurs fail to put their business ideas to action is:
-Firstly,entrepreneurs have insufficient funds.
-Secondly,entrepreneurs that operate in a rural area normally fail,if they don’t have business plan.
-There are alot of other reason why entrepreneurs struggle to put their business ideas into action.

  1. I think it is sometimes difficult for a entrepreneur to be realistic about business ideas because the environment is always changing and there is a wide variety of knowledge and thought that needs to go into a business plan ( starting a business is a macro-concept and sometimes people have micro-views),therefor it sometimes hinder a entrepreneur to put a plan into action.

  2. Writing a business plan is the same as setting goals for yourself at the beginning of each year.A business plan will keep you on track, remind you of your goals ans show you a broad view of how and why you want to achieve the things you want. #BMAN111

It is hard for entrepreneurs to be realistic because of the amount of research that has to be done and the time and effort that needs to be put into the idea to make it real. When it was just an idea or a vision it had no flaws but when an idea becomes a reality you encounter problems and obstacles that you were not expecting and that makes it even harder to make the idea a reality.

A business plan helps you to take all the challenges or and obstacles into consideration when you are planning how exactly you are going to make your idea a reality.

  • Good ideas aren’t necessarily unique. Timing is critically important. “On paper” doesn’t always translate to real life. Circumstances change. Execution is as important as planning.

  • Employees, investors, co-founders, future employees and future partners.

Why do you think it is sometimes difficult for an entrepreneur to be realistic about putting their business idea into action?
Because its hard to tell what the future holds in store for your business.

How do you think writing a business plan would help? It can help you prepare for some of the outcomes that the future might have in store for your business.

I think it is sometimes difficult for an entrepreneur to be realistic about putting their business idea into action simply because it is hard to predict what is to happen to a business that does not even exist. An entrepreneur is put in a position where they have to predict how the future will be for a business that he/she does not even know if it will have continuity in the foreseeable future.

A business plan would help the entrepreneur have a marketing plan and projected financial statements(budget for the future),where they get to estimate how much the business should generated in a recorded period of time as well other business related operations.

They themselves do not know exactly what they want they have a dream/idea but nothing concrete , so a business plan will help them research , see what they want and realize that some things they are planning will have to come later .
A business plan will help them focus and narrow down what they want to accomplice , making it easier to start a business .

  • Entrepreneurs sometimes find it difficult to be realistic and put their theories into action would be that they are overconfident about their idea, believing that their business is “destined to succeed” because of their “It’s a no brainer” mentality. Another reason may be that they do not know how to put their ideas to the test

  • Writing a business plan would help in organizing the entrepreneur’s ideas, helps to identify possible challenges and helps the entrepreneur to develop strategies to counteract those challenges. They help to find out the capital needed, how to get it and what it will be used for

An entrapreneur wants to do-as-they learn instead of putting their initial business idea into action.

Writting a business plan will give them a better approach of how to start the business as well as how they can be flexible along the way.

sometimes is difficult for entrepreneur to be realistic about putting their business idea into action is because entrepreneurs do not have start up capital.
2.Writing a business plan would help the entrepreneurs to know all the list of things they need for the business to be successfull.

I think it is sometimes difficult for an entrepreneurs to put their business idea into action, because they don’t always know where to start and they may also be afraid of failing.

I think writing a business plan would help you as entrepreneur to guide you on how to run your business and it also gives you a sense of certainty, because you would know where you are heading with your business.

Why do you think it is sometimes difficult for an entrepreneur to be realistic about putting their business idea into action?

Because emotionally the entrepreneur is not mature enough to put realistic expectations that will harm their dreams and emotions.

How do you think writing a business plan would help with this?

To help guide you, to set goals, to get capital investment and to develop future strategies for the business.
