There have been many impacts on business, which have both negative and positive impacts when digital technology was introduced to the world. Digital technology is more effective and well known by developed countries, but it is slowly becoming part of the developing countries.

Open and Distance Learning
Technology had a tremendous impact on ODL education in terms of teaching and learning, facilitation, assessment, and research. Distance studentsā€™ learning is still separated by the physical distance between students and tutors/lecturers; however, most of the negative aspects such as loneliness, sending of assignments through the post office, marking of assignments, and the receiving of feedback that took too long have improved so much that distance students can now attend live classes wherever they are through video conferencing, receive feedback, and receive assessment marks instantaneously. They can form groups to peer assist and receive support online.

This is a mayor change and many aspects such as delivery mode will also change.

I agree with youā€”it has arrived, and most of us are so happy to be part of this revolution. Whatever the industry, we can only expect better, much more improved learning and business practices.

University libraries have been significantly impacted by digital technology in the past few decades. One example is the shift from physical card catalogues to online systems. Previously, users had to search through index cards to find books manually. Now, they can easily search online records, access resources remotely, and even borrow e-books. This change has revolutionised how users interact with library materials.

Looking ahead, digital technology will continue to shape university libraries. One change is the increasing use of digital collections and open-access resources. Libraries are adapting their acquisition strategies to accommodate the availability of scholarly content online. This shift may also impact how physical books and journals are obtained and stored.

Emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning can automate and enhance library services. AI-powered recommendation systems can help users discover relevant resources, while virtual and augmented reality may create immersive learning experiences or virtual tours of rare collections.

Advancements in digital technology have transformed university libraries, enabling them to provide personalised and accessible services while keeping up with the changing landscape of information and research. lida102
