Formative assessment and summative assessment

Formative assessment is the assessment which deals with hand on skills and how we use these skills for assessment purpose. In this the assessor corrects us and assessment done on competency

Summative assessment deals with summarizing the whole concept and assesed on knowledge based. In this form of assessment the assessor marks and later feedback is provided.

Therfore assessments provide feedbacks eithtt oral or written depending on the task.

Formative assesment is an ongoing assesment but summative is about summarising and it falls towards the end of the term or year
