I once was asked by someone, “how do I hand in my assignment?”, I then realized that she was trying to hand in an assignment that was meant to be typed elsewhere first then upload it.
She was trying to “hand in” her assignment by clicking the link to upload and assumed the link would take her to where she can start typing her work. This made me realize the importance understanding the platforms you are working with.
It is also important to make sure that students understand document creation, viewing and editing.
