Yes, OERu courses are designed for independent self-study and published as open educational resources on course.oeru.org. You don’t require a password to access the materials, and you are free to work through the learning materials at your own pace at any time. Many OERu learners prefer to study with classmates for scheduled courses. These courses provide opportunities to interact with other learners studying the same materials at similar times.
Our standard procedure when launching courses is to offer the first instance as a cohort-based course with a fixed start and finish date. After the pilot offering of new courses, these materials become available for independent study.
