Elon Musk is one of the successful entrepreneurs in today’s world. He started at early age and became a millionaire at the age of 20. What I like more about him is that he always thinks of product types and services which are outside the box. He does not believe in impossibleness.

My favourite enterpreneur is the founder of INFOSYIS -Mr.Narayana Murthy. He started the company with a mere amount of Rs 10000 Indian currency back in 1990’s and his company is one of the few compaies to become a billion dollar company. He won many awards from the Government of India for following ethics in businees. Now Infosyis has world wide branches and recruiting thousands of software professionals throught the world.It won major contracts and successfully completed herculean tasks assigned by government of India.

Infosys is the second-largest Indian IT company after Tata Consultancy Services by 2017 revenue and 596th largest public company in the world based on revenue.

Richard Branson

What were their beginnings?:
After failed attempts to grow and sell both Christmas trees and budgerigars, Branson launched a magazine named Student in 1966. The first issue of Student appeared in January 1968. Though not initially as successful as he hoped, the magazine later became a vital component of the mail-order record business Branson started from the same church he used for Student. Branson used the magazine to advertise popular albums, driving his record sales. His business sold records for considerably less than the “High Street” outlets

What did they achieve?:

In 1970, he set up a mail-order record business. He opened a chain of record stores, Virgin Records. Later known as Virgin Megastores in 1972. Branson’s Virgin brand grew rapidly during the 1980s, as he started Virgin Atlantic airline and expanded the Virgin Records music label

He was born in November 25 1835 in Dunfermline, Scotland to parents Margret Morrison Carnegie and William Carnegie who lived in a cottage with only one main room, i.e. the main room served as the living room, dining room and bedroom all in one. It could easily be compared to a backrooms in the townships. He was named after his paternal grandfather. He was deeply influenced by his maternal uncle, George Lauder, Sr, who introduced him to historical heroes Scottish heroes such as William Wallace. His mother became the primary bread winner by selling potted meats after his father had fallen on very hard times as a handloom weaver.

His family moved to America in September 1848 and he got his first job as a bobbin boy in a Pittsburgh cotton factory. He then went on to become a small steam-engine runner for a Bobbins manufacturing factory owned by a certain John Hay. After that job he became a telegraph messenger boy at a Telegraph company.

His biggest achievement would be when he sold his steel company for $480 Million making him one of the richest men in 1901. His steel company was founded in 1870.

His entrepreneurial traits would be his willingness for hard work, his perseverance, ambition and his alertness.

He showed great interest in electronics. Jobs Apple venture was successful, and he opened Apple stores and bringing so much changes to the computer revolution. Also, the launching of Smartphones. Steve’s entrepreneurial traits included magical thinking and motto “Live it, Breath it and Love it.

Walter Elias Disney

Walt Disney was an American motion picture and television producer and show man who was famously known as a pioneer of cartoon films. The Disney World Brothers company started in 1923 in the rear of a small office occupied by Holly-Vermont Realty in Los Angeles. It was right there and then when Walt Disney and his brother Roy produced a series of short live-action and animated films.

Walt Disney co-founded Walt Disney Productions with his brother which became one of the best known motion picture production companies in the world. He then went on to win 22 Academy Awards during his lifetime and was the founder of theme parks Disney World and Disneyland.

Walt Disney had a drive and responsibility to task completion, his vigor and persistence in pursuit of goals led him to pursue his dreams and follow up on them until they were carried through

Andrew was in Dunfermline, Scotland, and emigrated to America with his parents, he started work in Anchor cotton mill, changing spools of thread in the mill 12 hours a day earning $1.20 a week

What did they achieve?

By 1860 he had investments in rail roads, railroad sleep-in cars, bridges and oil Derrick. He accumulated further wealth as a bond salesman and built Pittsburgh’s Carnegie Steel Company which he later sold to JPMorgan for $303,450,000 making him the richest American for several years.

What Entrepreneurial traits did they possess?

Andrew was very resilient, hard-working and he took a lot of risks to get him where he wanted to be

Oprah Winfrey
-Her first beginnings was when she debuted Oxygen Media, a company she co-founded that is dedicated to producing cable and internet programming for women, this is when she secured her spot in the media industry.
Throught the year, Oprah Winfrey has achieved being one of the biggest philanthropists, actress, producer TV host and she is the first black woman to own and run a television network called Oprah Winfrey Network.

She has many entrepreneurial traits that include: risk taking, passionate, motivational, determination and being genuine etc

Elon Musk

Elon was born in South Africa and started his first major successful business in 1999, which is now known as PayPal. He later found both SpaceX and Tesla motors with are currently huge successes.

He had a massive vision and worked hard to achieve what many other thought to be outrages. Elon also exhibits an “always be learning” attitude that yields a lot of inspiration to many others
